EleCtroniCS is common part of information technologies

Introduction courses

In the courses like Introduction to information technologies, Fundamentals of electronics, Electronic communications and Audio-visual technology, students will learn about the basic concepts of electronics, communication and information systems and they acquire knowledge for other, more professionally focused courses.

Courses with "general system overview"

After introduction courses students can continue with following courses such as Analogue electronic systems and Digital electronic systems. Furthermore, more detailed Space technologies or more practically focused Power supply sources and systems, Radio design and measurement, Modeling and simulations in radiofrequency technologies are followed.

Courses "with microcontrollers"

An integral part of electronics is the ability to program its behavior. In addition to classic Programming in Electronics, the C language is used in the subjects Microcontrollers and Computers, and in the subsequent Advanced Applications of Microcontrollers we deal with programming and solving problems with microcontrollers. Another area is Programmable Logic Circuits and also the straddled Applied Software for Electronics, which combines application programming for PCs and microcontrollers.

Courses with "communication technologies"

The department also offers courses focused on communication and information technologies. These include courses like Fieldbuses, Radioelectronic systems, Access networks, Telecommunication networks, where students get more detailed information about system design, system configuration and measurements in these areas.

Courses with "signal processing"

An integral part of the electronic systems is also signal processing (audio, video, radio, fast industrial data bus) and their analysis including EMC issues. In this area we offer objects such as Digital signal processing, Application of digital signal processing, Signals and systems, Electromagnetic compatibility, Multimedia systems and Audio and sound systems.

Other courses

The department employees often specialize in narrowly focused areas in which it also offers additional courses. These include Medical electronics, Sensors and actuators, Radio determination of position, Antennas, TV and broadcast systems or Safety systems in rail transport.
